ST. LOUIS – A new electric train is rolling down the tracks at the Saint Louis Zoo. The train is named after Mary Meachum, a St. Louis abolitionist who was instrumental in educating Black people.

Kathy Goeddel wants people to once again experience the 30-minute train ride from the Oregon Zoo through Washington Park surrounded by wildlife, towering trees and some of Portland’s celebrated past.
