Heavy rain is currently falling across northern Queensland with the monsoon trough and monsoon low. Further heavy rain is forecast in the coming days over a broad area, and this will lead to flooding. Where will all the flood water we're seeing in Queensland end up? The rainfall and flooding in north-west Qld will eventually make its way out to the Gulf of Carpentaria in the coming days and weeks.
