The only reason European scholars needed to claim that Kiswahili came from Arabic is because they did not want to admit that Kiswahili; a Bantu language is as much Semitic as Arabic is and recognising its Bantu origin would include all the 600 Bantu languages. Unlike modern Hebrew which is Yiddish, Paleo Hebrew/ Ancient Kabiru is Bantu expanded into 600 Sub Saharan African Bantu languages and the reason why Arabic is similar to Kiswahili.
